Hej Hans and all,
I fully acknowledge that most of you/students will re-use existing and open-source data. But you will generate new algorithms to analyze the data, won’t you?
It is one thing to explain (perhaps commonly for all) the re-use of data but maybe you would need to look at the questions from a different perspective and ask how you will work with the analysis of the re-used data? How will you store, archive, and publish the new data of these analyses?
If agreed by all, I suggest having a discussion about the DMP (that is a mandatory document in EC projects) at the next project meeting so that we align across the network.
Best wishes for the weekend,
Best regards,
Jacqueline Plette

Jacqueline,
I have been reading through the questions on the DMP, and these are all relevant and important *for those project generating new data*.
However, most often we do not generate new data and simply reuse data available online. As such, the data handling issue is not our responsibility, we are simply users of the data. As such, we can only refer to the publisher of the data and their commitment. We could do this again and again for every question, but maybe not desired.
I think we need to agree a common way to answer this in a satisfactory way for those case where no new data is generated.
Best regards
Hans

Dear all,
As per request, I attach the document rather than a link to it. Just let me know if you have any questions or issues. Many thanks,

Hej Andrea et al,
Thanks for asking about the best way to provide your input.
Following Andrea’s question below, I would suggest that you all answer each question step by step in the document itself preambling every sentence with your initial.
I will consolidate all answers in the end, but I would assume that several answers will be similar. Where that is the case, please just add your initials so that I know who has given input.
If you experience IT issues with the current Sharepoint, it might be easier for you to send me a separate email with an attachment containing all your answers. And I will manage that as well.
Many thanks in advance for your timely inputs,
Best regards,
Jacqueline Plette

Thanks Jacqueline,
Do you want me to answer each question step by step in the document itself preambling every sentence with AP, or do you want me to send a separate document containing my answers, or what is easiest for you?
Best,
Andrea
