Do you want to participate in a workshop on the data physicalization of CO2 emissions from flying?
KTH’s ambitious climate goals are in line with the Paris Agreement and since the CO2 emissions from flying are the largest source of emissions at KTH these need to be reduced.
In a research project at KTH titled ”Decreased CO2-emissions in flight-intensive organisations: from data to practice”<https://www.kth.se/sv/hct/mid/research/sustainability/projects/flight-1.920661>, we are interested in studying how we fly at KTH. Additionally, we explore how to present data about how we fly at KTH in order to make it possible to perceive, analyze, discuss, reflect and act upon this data and knowledge.
We have experimented with representing and materializing the CO2 emissions from flying. Often we are met with strong reactions and surprise when we present them to people (see attached picture for an example).
We are now looking for participants to take part in a workshop where we together will explore and evaluate our method of representing data closer and what it could contribute with when the aim is open up for new discussions, action and concrete plans to reach our climate goals.
We are specifically looking for employees and students currently affiliated with KTH or other universities in Stockholm.
Do you want to participate?
The workshop will take place on the 6th of June, 13-15, at KTH Campus. Fika and coffee will be served.
Let me know if you are interested!
All the best,
Aksel Biørn-Hansen
