A non-answer: The Agda mode is supported on GNU Emacs 22 and 23, so my
suggestion is that you upgrade Emacs. However, if you tweak the code so
that it works under Emacs 21 as well, without breaking the newer
versions or complicating things too much, then I will accept a patch
from you.
