About the project:
Air travel has a high climate impact compared to other transport modes. The background of the project is that there is a strong interest among the public and policy makers for improving the possibilities for international train trips. The focus in this study is to analyze which changes that would be necessary if train travel shall take a significant market share for trips from Sweden to other European countries in the future, e.g. regarding central consumer decision factors such as price (in relation to air travel), travel times and level of comfort on night trains. It is a 1-year position with good opportunities for a 1-year extension. The position is at Chalmers in Gothenburg but due to the Corona pandemic most of the work can be carried out placed anywhere.
