Skype for Business ersätts med MiCollab.

Att ringa vanliga telefonsamtal via Skype kommer att sluta fungera den 21 februari 2022.

Skype for Business har redan nästan helt ersatts av Teams och Zoom för digitala möten och samarbeten och i samband med bytet av televäxel den 22 februari så kommer Chalmers inte längre att stödja Skype for Business som kommunikationsplattform.

It-avdelningen kommer att tillhandahålla en ny mjukvara för att du via datorn ska kunna ringa till vanliga telefonnummer. Denna mjukvara (MiCollab) är en del i den nya telefonilösning som rullas ut med start den 22 februari 2022.

Den 22 februari kommer de dom har haft ett telefonnummer kopplat i Skype att få ett mejl från noreply at mitel.easydeploy.net<mailto:noreply at mitel.easydeploy.net> med information om hur du laddar ner MiCollab. I mejlet finns även en QR-kod som du använder för att koppla mjukvaran till din anknytning.

Att använda MiCollab är frivilligt. Denna ändring berör inte din vanliga mobiltelefon. Telefoni med Skype for Business upphör den 21 februari.

Skype for Business are replaced by MiCollab.

This email is sent to you because you have a phone number connected to your Skype account and we would like to inform you that using Skype for calls will not work after February 21, 2022.

Skype for Business has been almost completely replaced by Teams and Zoom for virtual meetings and collaboration and when we replace our phone system on February 22 it also means that Chalmers are no longer using Skype for Business as a communication platform

IT Office will provide a new software named MiCollab that allows you to make calls from your computer to normal phone numbers. This software is an integrated part in Chalmers new telephony solution that is launched on February 22, 2022.

On February 22 an email from noreply at mitel.easydeploy.net<mailto:noreply at mitel.easydeploy.net> will be sent to everyone that have a phone number connected to their Skype with information about how you download MiCollab. In this email are also an QR-code that helps you to connect this app to your phone extension.

You only need to activate MiCollab if you need a softphone. This change will not affect your normal mobile phone. Skype for Business will not work after February 21, 2022.
