[Driftstörning] Warning: A lot of fake emails containing virus are circulating

Under de senaste dygnet har många anställda fått konstiga mail som innehåller en bilaga med virus. De flesta av dessa är automatiskt bortsorterade till skräppostfoldern men vi får just nu många frågor om dessa.


Mailet ser ut att komma från någon man känner och innehåller dessutom en kopia på något mail som man tidigare skickat till den person som påstår sig ha skickat mailet.


Mailen har inte skickats från den uppgivna personen, inte heller från något mailkonto på Chalmers.


Kännetecken är att personnamnet är korrekt men att adressen som det skickats från är helt fel. Bifogar ett exempel på ett mail av denna typ nedan. Öppna inte bilagan och kasta mailet.

During the last day a large number of employees have received strange emails with attachments containing virus. Most of these have been automatically sorted to the Junk mail folder, but we get a lot of questions about these.


The mail looks like it is sent from someone you know and it contains a copy of a mail that you previously sent to this person.


The email have not been sent from that person, nor from any mail account at Chalmers.


Characteristics for these mails are that the person name is correct but the email address is wrong. Enclosing an example of of a mail like this below. Do not open the attachment and throw away the mail.
