Dear all,

Here is a request from Fredrik about need for AI tools. Can you respond to me (by Nov 24) and then I will aggregate and send to Fredrik.

The scope is rather broad, so feel free to request anything! (e.g., ChatGPT pro, co-pilot in office)

Best regards,

Henk

Hi CS faculty,

Do you need any support for AI tools in your research (see email below)?

The question (as we understand it) is if you need a tool for your research, but don’t want to develop this tool in your research.

Please let me know by noon Mon Nov 25.

I will also put this item on the CS faculty lunch on Friday.

Thanks,
Fredrik

Subject: Inventory of needs for AI-support
Dear Heads of Units,

Vicerektor Anders Palmqvist has requested the departments to make an inventory on “AI-support for research”.

(co-Pilot translation …)
AI Support for Research Activities
What support do the research activities at your department need to use AI tools in research? The focus is on cases where the AI component does not have significant research value and is therefore not particularly interesting from an AI research perspective.

  *   What exists/is used today
  * What is needed going forward (both what you know and what you think will be needed)

Please compile a response and send to me before November 26.

With best regards

Tomas McKelvey
