Dear Colleagues,

The National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 15th International Conference on X-ray Microscopy (XRM 2022) in ALL-VIRTUAL mode, from June 19 (Sunday) to 24 (Friday), 2022. Online abstract submission is open until March 15, 2022. The abstract template is attach ed.

Fourteen XRM Conferences have been held over the past 40 years since the first one took place in 1983. It has evolved into one of the biggest and the most important meetings in the field of X-ray Microscopy. In the upcoming XRM Conference, the advances in instrumentation, techniques, and methodology related to X-ray microscopy, as well as the newest development in XRM science will be presented;

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 15th XRM originally scheduled in 2020 was put off until 2022. At the moment, all foreign nationals are required to have obtained entry permissions before arriving in Taiwan. All passengers arriving into Taiwan from anywhere else are required to complete their mandatory 10-day quarantine (starting from March 7). While much remains uncertain about the pandemic, we foresee the authority will not ease anti-virus measures in the coming months. The Local Committee, therefore, has decided to carry out the XRM 2022 in a virtual format.

Now that we are spreading the SASTT word to so many different labs, it?s time to see who can set the Group World Record of a SASTT measurement.

Measuring the fastest, but also the slowest sample are great achievements. We should award fist and last positions! We can discuss more about the scoring system in the next workshop. Best time? Best sample alignment? Fastest exposure time?
