Dear employee,                                                      cc admin colleagues for forwarding to new employees

Swedish classes at MC2 with a professional language teacher are offered free of charge for employees during daytime, once a week, for 2h 15 minutes incl short break.
If we have enough participants, we will start a beginners’ course.
Time will then be decided based on availability and request.
The lessons take place at MC2.
Please let me know before 24th April, whether you are interested. A final check will be made for day and time.

Next round includes a summer break:
week 20 - 24 (Monday 16th May - Friday 17th June)
*PLUS*
week 36 to 42 (Monday 5th September - Friday 21st October)

National holidays are always lesson-free.

You only need to buy the books.*
A set of Rivstart A1+A2 text+exercise books should last at least three courses.
(For Ph D students taking their first Swedish course with Chalmers, the books can be arranged and paid by Chalmers, provided that you sign up at least two weeks before the course.)

Your supervisor or manager needs to approve of your participation and whether the time spent at the lessons can be considered work time or not.
Homework time between lessons is not considered work time, but should not require more than 1-2 hours per week.

You typically commit to about 12 weeks per course.
It is important that you do attend once you have committed to a course, as poor attendance may lead to the courses being stopped.
If you drop out during a course, you may not be given a second chance, so please check for any colliding courses etc.



  *   In order for us to plan, please let us know asap whether you would be interested to join.
First come, first served, priority given to MC2 and Physics.
Please include:

  *   Your name, position and department
  *   Level (for instance “true beginner” )**
Unless you are from Physics or MC2:

  *   the name of your approving supervisor
  *   Proceedo-code and cost centre for your part of the invoice***


Please describe your current level and previous sttudies when you report your interest.

** If you are not a true beginner, but would like to learn more, we may still have a group that you could join. Pls describe your knowledge, an assessment might be arranged.
*** The exact cost will depend on the final number of participants, but is usually around 2000 SEK.
