Due to Covid-19 we need to be cautious to limit the spread of the virus and also reduce the risk of any of us getting infected. At the moment we have no information if the recommendation to work from home will be extended beyond June 7. After a discussion with the group leaders we have decided to make a shorten the June gathering to half a day. We have not yet decided the details of the program. In case it will be possible to gather IRL, we will still make it voluntary to participate IRL. However, we will ask you to join by Teams or Zoom if you do not join IRL. This half day gathering will be on either June 17 or 18. Please keep the dates reserved. We will have an NBP kick-off on August 24 and 25. Please reserve the dates in your calendar. V?nliga h?lsningar Dear all, Regarding the summer holidays there is one thing I would like to point out which you all need to be aware of if planning for a trip abroad. As employer, we cannot hinder such initiatives, but we find it important to address any possible risks that this may lead to. If the situation in society and the outside world affect the possibility to return to Sweden as planned you need to know that Chalmers will not allow work abroad if it has been initiated on your own initiative. This means that in such a case you may primarily have to extend your holiday period if possible and secondly this may lead to unpaid absence. Note also that you are not insured during a non-sanctioned business travel and business travels are at the moment not something that we mean to approve considering the circumstances. We recommend you all to follow the travel recommendations provided by the Public Health Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As of today the recommendations stretches until July 15th but we consider it to be highly likely that they are prolonged.
