From goran.l.johansson at chalmers.se Tue Jan 17 16:48:46 2023 From: goran.l.johansson at chalmers.se (=?utf-8?B?R8O2cmFuIEpvaGFuc3Nvbg==?=) Date: Tue, 17 Jan 2023 15:48:46 +0000 Subject: [All.non-board.wacqt] Copenhagen Field Trip - Summer Jobs - Summer School - Lab Course Message-ID: <526A7AE1-893E-441A-BB94-C11D471A467F@chalmers.se> Dear WACQT Colleagues, Here is a small update from the WACQT Graduate School: We already have 46 people registered for the Copenhagen field trip 2-3rd of March, so don?t forget to register before the deadline *** 24th of January ***, in one week. https://www.chalmers.se/en/centres/wacqt/graduate%20school/Pages/Copenhagen-field-trip.aspx It is mandatory for WACQT PhD students and it is possible to fly directly from Copenhagen to the APS March meeting. On the 25th, we should be able to confirm the registrations of non-PhD-students. Due to a generous grant from Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg?s foundation we will off funding for up to *** 12 summer jobs in quantum technology ***. We plan to open the application 1st of February with a deadline last of February and decisions early in March. The application should be done by the researcher that want to hire the summer worker, which should be an undergraduate student. More information will follow. Please note that the funding follows the usual rules from Wallenberg foundations regarding OH, implying that you will need to provide some co-funding to cover the full cost. WACQT PhD-students, again, don?t forget to reserve 21-25th of August for the 3rd WACQT Summer School in Mossbylund, not far from Lund. We hope to be able to announce the speakers soon and there will be a few slots available for non-PhD-students. For new WACQT-PhD-students who didn?t take the WACQT Lab Course yet, the will be a new edition this autumn. (Information about the 2021 edition at: https://www.chalmers.se/en/centres/wacqt/graduate%20school/lc%20autumn%202021/Pages/default.aspx) We?ll hope to be able to announce the dates of the 4 labs soon. This is a mandatory course for all WACQT PhD students. Cheers The WACQT Graduate School Committee / Göran
