Ivette Fuentes: Relativistic quantum information and metrology ? John Martinis: Quantum Computing with Superconducting Circuits ? Piet O. Schmidt: Optical atomic clocks: basic principles and applications ? Seth Lloyd: Quantum sensing and quantum algorithms ? Christine Silberhorn: Photonic quantum networks with integrated optics and pulsed light ? Shruti Puri: Quantum computing with continuous variables ZOOM-MEETING The details to join the summer school online are: ? https://chalmers.zoom.us/j/64776588642 ? Password: QTech Anyone with the password can join the meeting. SCHEDULE The lectures are scheduled for the mornings (9-12) and afternoons (2-5 PM), Tuesday through Thursday, and are open for all interested scientists to attend. Please see the attached file for further information. The School, together with Women of WACQT, will also host a panel discussion, according to the schedule here below (all times are CEST, i.e. Stockholm times). Please note the switch between the lectures of Shruti Puri and Seth Lloyd, compared to the previously announced preliminary program. The final test is compulsory for all WACQT PhD students, and free for any interested attendee to take (and get feedback on). By attending the School and taking the exam, PhD students will get a certification from the School organizers allowing them to gain 1.5 credits towards their doctoral studies (upon acceptance from their local institution). Looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday ! We are fortunate to have Prof. John Martinis from UC Santa Barbara here at Chalmers for the month of August. Now I would like to advertise the opportunity to nominate other prominent quantum technology researchers for a funded, extended stay hosted by one of the WACQT project principal investigators. Junior researchers and collaborators, please nominate candidates to your PI. PIs, please nominate to me, why not tomorrow (although there is no particular deadline)? Once I have received some names I will get back to the presumtive hosts with some budget guidelines* before you formally invite. *= duration of stay, eligible costs and compensation rates, SINK forskarskatt, uppeh?llstillst?nd, etc. All credit goes to Linda B. for figuring everything out and doing all the work. Apologies if you received this twice - it seems the first emailing list wasn?t quite up to date.
